MAKERS MARKET VENDORS - 2026

Visit the Makers Market in the parking lot behind Baumgartner’s on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 am – 4 pm and Sunday, Sept. 20 from 9 am – 1 pm.

Open to creators, fiber artists, hobbyists, wood crafters, photographers, painters, etc. - who personally design and make what they sell. Examples include but not limited to: apparel, accessories, home goods, bath & body, repurposed or up-cycled vintage, furniture, jewelry, etc. 56 booths are available.

Not allowed: food items for consumption by people or pets, and items using festival name (due to trademark restrictions). Vendors of resale items should instead apply to be in the Commercial Vendor lot.

Booths are assigned in the order that COMPLETED applications are received.

ALL VENDORS SELLING ITEMS MUST PROVIDE WI FORM S240. Go to www.revenue.wi.gov/html/tempsell.html or call Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue at 608.266.2776 for more information. Cheese Days is unable to provide advice related to seller’s permits or sales tax exemptions. Form S240 must be included for the application to be considered complete.

ALL VENDORS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF INSURANCE. Vendors without insurance can purchase it through our insurance company ($85 fee). See application for additional details.

CHEESE DAYS

Back in 1914, the concept of Cheese Days originated from the notion that if some little town in Illinois could have a festival commemorating sauerkraut, then a celebration based on cheese would be an even better idea.

A group of local businessmen planned the festivities in just nine days, driving a roadster through the city of Monroe to publicize the event. A hand-lettered sign attached to the vehicle proclaimed “FIRST CHEESE DAY COMMITTEE 1914 – WE STARTED SOMETHING!”

And did they ever.

100 years later, we invite you to take part in our centennial Cheese Days 2014 – where old-world tradition has generated an out-of-this-world celebration.
