Children's Parade - led by Prince & Princess
Friday, Sept 14
Lineup starting 4:15 pm by Monroe Middle School. All children invited to participate; must be accompanied or supervised by an adult, parent, or a group leader - if attending with a group. Groups should pre-register with Monroe Park and Rec (608.329.2460); kids and families NOT with a group can just show up the day of the event.
Participants are asked to dress to fit in with one of the following themes:
- Team Wedgie - wear the Cheese Days "team Wedgie" t-shirt, or their favorite team sport shirt
- Bling - princess dresses, fancy outfits, sparkles and glitter
- Red, White & Blue - wear patriotic colors
Special needs youth and adults and are invited to join the "Campion's Champions" group. Ride the wagons (limited seating – please register with Park and Rec) in honor of the memory of Monsignor Thomas F. Campion, a local advocate for the disabled. Special thanks to Fritz and Sarah Wenger for providing the wagons and drivers.
2018 Route - tentative: Begin by Middle School. Go right (east) on 12th Street (going past Suisse Haus and continuing past Heartland Graphics). North on 18th Avenue – travelling between City Hall and Post Office. At Wisconsin Community Bank parking lot – go west on 9th Street. At Stop and Go corner, go south on 16th Avenue – passing by Monroe Theatre Guild. Proceed onto west side of Square and continue south toward Middle School.
