CHEESE DAYS ADDS SPACE FOR COMMERCIAL VENDORS
Green County Cheese Days is adding space for commercial vendors
to sell items or promote their businesses at tables or booths
at the festival planned for September 19-21, 2008.
A limited number of spaces will be made available along both
sides of 17th Avenue between 9th and 10th Street. If this
area is filled with advance reservations, additional spaces
may be added as needed on another block adjacent to Monroe's
Courthouse Square.
Booth areas will be the same size as the parking spaces along
the curbs -approximately 10 x 18 feet. Vendors will be allowed
to extend slightly into the street, with the intention of
leaving a wide lane open in the middle of the street for pedestrians
and shoppers, as well as allowing emergency vehicle access
if needed.
Booth rental is $125 per space, or two spaces for $200. Booths
will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Booth
numbers will coincide with the numbers on the parking meters.
There is no electricity available.
Hours of operation are at the discretion of the seller, but
are recommended as Friday 5 pm-close, Saturday 9 am-close,
and Sunday 9 am -6 pm. Set-up on Friday is not allowed until
after 1 pm, and all materials must be removed on Sunday by
7 pm. Vendors are responsible for cleaning up their areas
and disposing of all trash.
Examples of the types of businesses and vendors that will
be accepted for the area are: independent distributors (Avon,
Tupperware, etc.), cell phone companies, antique dealers,
and any local businesses wishing to promote their products
or services.
The following items will NOT be allowed in the commercial
vendor spaces: no food or beverage items, no clothing promoting
the festival, no hand-crafted items, no arts and crafts, no
farmer's market items, and no garden produce. Cheese Days
already sells these items or offers other spaces for those
categories. Contact the Cheese Days office if you are interested
in being part of the Arts and Crafts show, or contact Monroe
Main Street if you would like to be part of the Farmer's Market.
Those interested in applying for space in the commercial vendor
area are invited to fill out an application form. Forms are
available online at www.cheesedays.com, or contact the Cheese
Days office at 608.325.7771 to request that one be sent to
you. Applications are subject to the final approval of the
Cheese Days executive board. The booth rental fee is required
at the time of application.
