GREEN COUNTY CHEESE DAYS ANNOUNCES 2012 AMBASSADOR

Green County Cheese Days is pleased to announce that Brianna Ditzenberger has been selected to serve as ambassador for the 2012 festival.

Ms. Ditzenberger, the daughter of Dawn and Guy Ditzenberger, grew up on a small dairy farm near Browntown where she was an active member of the Browntown Busy Beavers 4-H Club and has previously served as the Green County UWEX Summer Youth Agent. Today she continues her involvement with the 4-H program as an adult leader.

During college, Ms. Ditzenberger held internships with Agri-View and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. Following graduation from UW-Madison with a degree in Life Sciences Communication, she has been employed as an associate marketing executive with Filament Marketing in Madison, a company specializing in strategic planning, public relations, branding, and leadership serving clients within the agricultural industry.

As Cheese Days ambassador, Ms. Ditzenberger will serve as spokesperson for the festival, making numerous appearances to promote the event as well as the dairy and cheesemaking heritage of Green County. She will also record radio commercials, and make television and parade appearances.
“I’m honored to be serving as the ambassador for the 2012 festival. Cheese Days is an event for the whole family, people who live near and far and cheese lovers alike – there is truly something for everyone to enjoy,” noted Ditzenberger.

During the festival, Ms. Ditzenberger will play a key role in connecting with the public and celebrating the success stories of Green County’s deep agricultural roots and history. She plans to invite visitors to let their “tastebuds do the talking” as they eat their way through the different varieties of cheese made in the county.

“Green County’s pride is on full display during Cheese Days,” said Ditzenberger, “and I look forward to sharing that pride with the thousands of people who will attend. It’s an event you don’t want to miss.”

Ms. Ditzenberger was crowned by 2010 ambassador Trisha Pernot at a Cheese Days Kick-Off event held on November 1. Her official duties begin on January 1, 2012. To make arrangements for an appearance contact the Cheese Days office at 608.325.7771 or email cheesedays@tds.net.
